Can you count to 50? I bet you take that skill for granted. Mrs. Burkeybile's students don't. They can count to 50 from any number and exercise at the same time! We have some talented students at Rissler. #DoingRisslerMath.

A new Employee of the Month program started this week. We want to highlight one of our employees each month. The goal is to help the community get to know how great our teachers are here at Rissler.
Janna Burkeybile is our first recipient—and she is very deserving. She was nominated by her peers and selected by the administration. Below is a cleaned-up version of what her peers and administrators say about her behind her back:
Janna went all out when teaching Bark Expectations. She is a leader in her classroom and on the first-grade team. She is also an active member of the Tier 2 Behavior Team. Her constant pursuit of excellence sets a high bar for the rest of the Rissler staff. Her care for students is obvious, and she always goes the extra mile to give her students a great education.
Janna never hesitates to help those in need. She is truly deserving of being Rissler’s first Employee of the Month.
The free parking space is a small gesture of our deep appreciation for all she does.

Rissler students will be participating in Homecoming Spirit Days.

I wanted to take a moment to share some pictures from Mrs. McCullough’s kindergarten class. They were building the new World Trade Center to honor Patriot Day. Mrs. McCullough is one of the great new teachers making Rissler Great again. I hope these pictures bring a smile to your face.
