Trenton R-9 Parents as Teachers program received a $7,500 grant for the plusoptiX S20 vision screener.
35 school districts in Missouri received this grant
plusoptiX S20 vision screener can detect the following common vision issues in children 6 month and up;
nearsightedness
farsightedness
astigmatism
amblyopia
anisometropia
anisocoria
misalignment
Benefits of early vision screening may affect learning and development. Results are sent home to parents/guardian for follow-up referrals if needed.
Parents as Teachers will bring this free screening to day care centers, home day care, home schooled and families in Grundy County.

The following expectations are written to provide a safe environment for all spectators at home football games. We ask that all parents/guardians talk to their children about the following rules.
1. All students Prek-8th grade must be accompanied by an adult (18+ and not a current K-12 student)
2. All students are asked to be seated or standing with that adult during the football game unless they are walking to or from the concession stand/restrooms.
3. Students should not run in the football stadium as they make their way to the restroom or concession stand.
4. Students are not allowed to bring balls or play tossing games in the stadium. This includes throwing water/pop bottles etc.
5. In order to respect parents/guardians and patrons watching the game in the stadium bleachers, all children are asked to be seated in the bleacher area, and to keep the walkway clear.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping keep our home events safe for our students and patrons.
